Enhancements
Process Observer / HPC submission
From now on, a job will appear in the Submitted Jobs list immediately after the assignment of the job id to the built-in variable _correlationId. From that moment and until the first job status update that will take place through process.updateObservableJobs, this job will appear with status " Dispatched ". Thus, the typical sequence of job status values becomes: Dispatched -> Pending -> Running -> Finished
Script API
It is now possible to specify runtime values for workflow and node variables upon instantiation of a workflow, through the process.instantiateWorkflow script function.
Web Services - API
The REST endpoint api/dm/dmfolder/create is introduced, which can be used to create a folder. The endpoint's body consists of the DM Path, in which the folder will be created and the folder name.
The REST API of SPDRM now supports the import and export of DM search filters in bulk, through the api/dm/dmfilters/import and api/dm/dmfilters/export endpoints accordingly.
System Configuration
This version introduces the purgeNodeExecSchedule key on the SPDRM server configuration (taxis.conf) to enable the customization of the execution date/time for the purging mechanism that cleans up automatically unused working directories from NodeExec, which by default runs on the SPDRM server every Saturday at 3:00am (server time zone).
Known issues resolved
Data Model
DM Object's property generation rules, that would be based on properties of contained RLIs, would not be evaluated correctly. This affects for example generation rules of Loadcase_Templates that are based on characteristics of their contained Loadcase_Headers.
Data Deletion
The restore of an overwritten file would fail in Oracle-based environments.
Users Management - Security
A newly created role with default assigned privileges View and Execute, would not have the Execute privilege on existing workflows. Moreover, a logged in user with this Role, would not see any of the existing workflows in Library.
For more details about the new software features, enhancements and corrections please, refer to the Release Notes document.
Documentation Updates
Updated Documents
Updated User Guides and Automation Guides (Scripting / REST API).
Supported Platforms and System Requirements
From this version onward, the server application of SPDRM is available only for Linux 64bit.
NOTE: Installation of SPDRM server application on MS Windows is not supported anymore.
The client application of SPDRM is running under 64bit flavours of Linux and MS Windows.
The software requires a different license key to the rest of the products of BETA CAE Systems. This license key should be incorporated into the same license file, if such is already installed, and requires beta_lm, the proprietary license manager of BETA CAE Systems.
For details, refer to the System Requirements document.
