Enhancements and known issues resolved in BETA Suite

Communication with License Manager

ANSA/META would fail to cycle through all the available License Servers, when trying to re-acquire License credits.

On top of that, as far as the Idle User Timeout is concerned, ANSA would fail to turn in Idle Status, while remaining in Launcher window mode.

TAITherm

The v12.7 TDFIO TAITherm Libraries are now supported in ANSA/META.

For more details about the new software features, enhancements and corrections please, refer to the Release Notes document.

Enhancements and known issues resolved in ANSA

Enhancements in ANSA

Volume Mesh – Structured Mesh

Splitting of Hexa Layers at areas of collapsing or warping violations has been enhanced, leading to overall better quality Layers.

Known issues resolved in ANSA

CAD to ANSA Translators

CAD to ANSA translation might fail, when the dm_structure.xml had a Read Only Attribute.

Database Browser

Unexpected termination would occur, when trying to view the list contents of a Database Browser entity, for which more than 30 attributes were marked as active list columns in the ANSA GUI settings (ANSA.xml).

Connections & Assembly

Nodes of Frozen Shells would be erroneously moved upon realization of neighboring Connections, when the option ‘Mesh Parameters > Fix Quality > Create perfect 2D hole zone’ was activated.

Shell Mesh

The script function mesh.ProjectShellsOnShells() would erroneously distort the target elements, in case solid elements were attached to target shells.

For more details about the new software features, enhancements and corrections please, refer to the Release Notes document.

Enhancements and known issues resolved in META

LS-DYNA

LS-DYNA SPC resultant Forces are now supported as SET_SPC Force in 2D Plot.

Known issues resolved in META

Read Results

Unexpected termination could occur if the deformation scale factor was changed during reading results. Changing the scale factor during reading results has no effect, now, in the deformation scale.

Focusing on Radioss, excessive memory usage was noticed, while loading curves for entities from different Time Histories.

Report & Report Composer PPTX

Unexpected termination could occur when a report was deleted through GUI. This happened only when an Excel table was edited through the Dialog.

User Toolbars

The command "toolbar edit onlyset" did not work as expected, unless the toolbar would open manually.

For more details about the new software features, enhancements and corrections please, refer to the Release Notes document.

Compatibility and Supported Platforms

ANSA files saved by all the first and second point releases of a major version are compatible to each other. New major versions can read files saved by previous ones but not vice versa.

META Project files saved from version 19.1.5 are compatible and can be opened by META version 16.0.0 or later. To be readable by META versions earlier than v16.0.0, they have to be saved selecting the option "Version <16.0.0".

Support for 32-bit platform has been discontinued for all operating systems.

What to download

All files required for the installation of this version reside in the folder named "BETA_CAE_Systems_v19.1.6" and are dated as of March 10, 2020. These files should replace any pre-releases or other files downloaded prior to that date.
The distribution of this version of our pre- and post-processing suite is packaged in one, single, unified installation file, that invokes the respective installer and guides the procedure for the installation of the required components.

For the installation of the software on each platform type, download from the respective folders, the .sh file for Linux or the .msi file for Windows.

In addition to the above, optionally, the META Viewer is available to be downloaded for each supported platform.

The tutorials and the example files reside in the folder named "TUTORIALS". This folder includes the complete package of the tutorials and example files, and a package with only the updated ones.

The Abaqus libraries required for the post-processing of Abaqus .odb files are included in the installation package and can be optionally unpacked.

Earlier software releases are also available in the sub-directory called "old" or in a folder named after the product and version number.
